Description

This water wing product is made from a heavy fabric, It is one piece which is designed to go around the back of the neck. At the back of the middle neck piece is a black tube through which air would be blown into the two oval shaped front pieces. The entire object is trimmed in green and the printing is all in green.  Ayvad's Water-Wings. Reg. U.S. Pat Off. Ayvad Patents & Trade Mrks.Water-Wings are all made one size, guaranteed to support 50-250 lbs. on correct level to float. A large body requires less air than a smaller one: Therefore, the wings are made purposely porous so that it should leak a little to adjust itself properly. Enough air always remains in the wings.Patented in 1902. The inventor, Hachig Ayvad manufactured these at least until the late 1920's.Ayvad Mfg Co. Hoboken N.J. Made in U.S.A.  Some Spanish directions are also printed on the object. The name Atlene Shelstad is handwritten in ink on the object.
