The 11 items in this donation were found in the basement of the Corneil -Elkjer building located at 436 Litchfield Ave. SW in Willmar. A fallout shelter was located in the basement of this building. The Medical Kit supplies are listed in the January 1965 Federal Civil Defense Guide. Medical Kit A consisted of items meant to care for the day to day common ailments of 50 people during confinement in the restricted environment of a shelter for 14 days. Medical Kit C was designed to supply up to 325 shelter occupants. The following 11 items could have been included in either Kit A or Kit C.
