Description
This Navy Blue wool Naval Uniform was worn by Eugene Erickson Jr. in the Korean War.o8784.1 The Navy Blue wool jumper top has the traditional v neck with the flap collar. The collar has 3 white stripes along the edge and 2 white embroidered stars at the corners. The bodice is stitched to a V on both front and back. There is an open pocket on the left chest area. The long 2-button sleeves have 3 stripes on the cuffs. The left sleeve has the white eagle, 2 red chevron bars and an embroidered insignia that indicates Boilermaker. The back waistband has Erickson E stamped on the inside. Under the flap collar is a tag: Manufactured By Naval Clothing Factory; E Erickson 6.o8784.2 Navy blue wool trousers . The waistband closes with 2 buttons, and the flap which is also called the "broadfall" closes with 13 buttons which represent the original 13 colonies. At the waistband there is a zippered pocket on the left side and an open pocket on the right. The back waistband area has a laced area for size adjustment. A tag on the inside right pocket area reads Manufactured By Naval Clothing Factory E Erickson 6.
