Wedding dress worn by Alida Bergett Strandness when she married Martin Aune on November 27, 1911. "Alida's exquisite wedding gown was sewn by the bride and exemplified the fashion of that time. The fabric of her wedding dress is a mixture of linen and silk. The lace mandarin collar is also made of silk and fastened with hooks and eyes in the back. The sleeves are three-quarter length and the empire waist is trimmed with a silk braided cord. The flared, ankle length skirt has a split overskirt and a panel on the back trimmed with hand covered buttons.
