Description
Cardboard box containing a glass jar filled with foil packets containing surgical silks in an alcohol solution.This is part of the Reinald Johnson Collection, donated by the Noble Medical Clinic in 1990.Dr. Reinald Johnson was born in 1910 in Isanti, Minnesota. He studied medicine at the University of Minnesota and served in WWII. He opened his own practice in St. Louis Park in November 1946 and worked there until 1968. He was appointed County Coroner in 1952 when the sitting coroner was convicted on 229 counts of narcotics violations. Johnson also practiced at Swedish Hospital and Methodist Hospital.
