Description
Surrealist painting of four beings on a white background shaded with blue and pink. From right to left: a tall, thin, green anthropomorphic creature with wings and a large headdress; a blue being with red robes, and a face similar to a bisected owl mask; a creature holding a red mask, with a camel head, a curling beard, an a purple dress; and finally, a small gray and blue creature shaped like a blob. Created in 2003. William Dietrichson was born May 23, 1922 and died Feb 8, 2014. He graduated from the Minneapolis School of Art starting in 1948, studied at the Art Students' League in New York, served in WWII in Algeria. He did set design for WCCO's Axel's Tree House, and painted commissioned portraits. Taught at MCAD, Minnetonka Art Center, and Edina Art Center.Dietrichson, William
