Brass sheep's bell. The original clapper is missing and was replaced by a heavy wire staple. This was donated in 1939 by Catherine Erickson of St. Louis Park, and was used on her family's farm. The donor was born in Sweden and emigrated to Minnesota in 1882. In 1884, Catherine married Carl Otto Erickson. In 1896, the Ericksons purchased 40 acres in St. Louis Park and established a farm. The Ericksons were among the first settlers of St. Louis Park, which at that time was virtually a wilderness.
