Description
Jewell clock thermometer manufactured by the Electric Heat Regulator Company of Minneapolis. The clock is missing but would have been attached at the top of the unit. There is a glass thermometer displayed at center.This was donated to HHM in 1988 by Ed Pullen of Bloomington.The company that would later become Honeywell was known as the Electric Heat Regulator Company from 1893 to 1916, at which point it became the Minneapolis Heat Regulator Company. The Minneapolis Heat Regulator Company merged with Honeywell Heating Specialties in 1927 to become the Minneapolis- Honeywell Regulator Company. In 1963 the company changed its name to Honeywell, Inc.
