Description
Circular, steel flask. Engraved with the words, "United Drug Company; Radiator; PAT. May 4, 1915; Boston U.S.A." Fabric cover is light blue with darker blue geometric patterns. This was donated in 1982 by Richard O. Wilhoit of Hopkins. Richard was born in Minneapolis in 1913 to father Albert D. Wilhoit and mother Margaret. His father founded A.D. Wilhoit Laboratories in Minneapolis in 1922, which specialized in grain and feed analysis. Richard took over the business prior to his father's passing in 1959. The family lived in St. Anthony Park. He graduated from Shattuck School in Faribault, MN and attended the University of Minnesota. He was married to Margaret M. "Peg" Wilhoit. Richard and Margaret lived in Edina and Hopkins until they retired to Florida. Richard died in 2010 and Peg followed in 2019. They are buried in Grandview Cemetery in Hopkins.
