Description
"This hand broom is made from broom straw and is 33 inches long. The straws is held together with three strips toward the top, made from split cane, dyed dark brown and burnt orange. This same orange and brown split cane is wound around the broom handle which ends in a shepherd's crook. The broom was used by the Cherokee Indians in North Carolina."Related People and Organizations
