Description
A very large collection of slides taken during the travels and mission work of Dr. Clarence Ketterling. As a dentist, Dr. Ketterling performed service work for Lutheran missions in Nigeria and Madagascar, Africa. Many slides were taken during his personal travels in such locales as Brazil, Belgium, England, and Hawaii. Audio cassettes accompany the slides as aids to the many slide presentations Dr. Ketterling gave in conjunction with Lutheran Ministries and his affiliation with the Lions Club. There are also 2 VHS video tapes that accompany the collection. None of the slides or tapes have been reviewed or cataloged by museum staff. The entirety of the collection is held in two slide carousel travel cases and a museum record storage box. The collection is being accessioned into the museum's holdings as a single item. Cataloging this collection would be a great volunteer project.
