Black and white portrait of young woman seated in a studio. She wears a wide high necked lace collar over a dark color dresse with light buttons up the front. Her hair is severely parted in the center, curled, and pulled back into a bun. The image is mounted on an off-white matboard with stamp AF Newt on bottom lwft corner. Identified as Mary A. Grimes. Taken from 2' thick cloth bound photograph album (approx 6' x 5') with a metal clasp, containing 15 photographs of family members: including father Jonathan Taylor Grimes, sisters Mary Grimes,Uncle Hawthorne and Aunt Julia Hawthorne and others.
