Description
Digital oral history with Sean O'Brien.  Sean was born in Duluth, Minnesota in 1974.  He served in the U.S. Army from 2001-2015.  He went to training at Ft Benning, GA (Infantry) and Ft Rucker, AL (Flight School).  He was trained as a sniper in the infantry and as a Blackhawk Pilot.  From 2001-2006 he was a Sergeant in the Cavalry and worked as  a sniper.  He received a Combat Infantry Badge during this time.  From 2004-2005 he was in Iraqi Freedom 3 working in mine detection and security for the commander.  He re-upped in 2004 and started the process for Warrant Officer

In 2006 he went to Ft Rutgers and trained as a NCO and promoted to Warrant Officer and went to flight school for 2 years. 
In 2008 he was assigned to the 1st Cavalry and deployed
2009-2010 he was in Iraq as a WO and pilot; transferred to Afghanistan where he flew Blackhawk support for medivac. 
In 2011-2012 he was deployed to Iraq
2012-2013 he served as an Air Cavalry Pilot.  Earned another Combat Infantry Badge here.
