Description
Diary or daybook of Pastor P. S. Reque. He started the day book in June of 1869. He recorded pastoral acts such as church services, baptisms, weddings, funerals, and confirmations etc. he performed in all the congregations in the Our Savior's Parish. The book is in Norwegian.
The primary Lutheran Churches listed are White Bear Lake (later Barsness), Chippewa / Chippewa Falls, Lake Johanna, later split into east and west, Pike Lake, Swift Falls, East Zion, West Zion, and occasionally Indherred.
The first section ends in the summer of 1877. Pastor Reque died in 1879. Reverend Magus M. Koefod served as an interim pastor until 1880, but did not record his activities in this book.
Reverend U. C. S. Hjermstad started recording in June 1880. He served until the end of September 1884.
October 1884- July 1892, Reverend M. G. Skaar kept the day book until 1892 when he went back to Norway. Reverent Beito kept the book until the end of 1892. There are no more records in the book. Rev. Skaar returned from Norway in 1893 and continued to serve the parish until 1896.

This book has been microfilmed for the Evangelical Lutheran Church Archives at Luther Seminary, St. Paul, Minnesota.
