"INSTRUCTIONS FOR USING SYRINGE"

"This syringe is so constructed that it is easy to use and parts can be changed quickly with a minimum of effort. // When ready to use the syringe, see that the head is screwed down tightly over the barrel. Do not have plunger too tight. The plunger should be adjusted so that plunger washers touch sides of barrel to show only a thin red line. // The rubber packings on the plunger or pis-ton are adjusted by turning the oval top but-ton or palm rest. // To adjust plunger, hold the D shaped, grad-uated sleeve between thumb and finger of left hand so that it will not turn and twist palm rest so that it will not turn and twist palm to the right to tighten or to the left to loosen. Plungers are perfectly adjusted be-fore syringe leaves factory so it should be ready for use when removed from the box. However it is well to note action of plunger before put in use. If plunger seems too loose, give palm rest a quarter turn in clockwise i-rection; if to tight, give quarter turn in counter clockwise direction. // The syringe can be quickly dismantled when replacement of parts is necessary. Unscrew palm rest and syringe head. Remove plunger assembly and barrel. Any worn part can be replaced and syringe re-assembled ready for use in one minute's time. // New barrels, washers, or metal parts can be obtained on short notice from the dealer from whom the syringe was purchased."
