Dr. Larry Anderson is a Minnesota veterinarian who graduated from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 1962. He had an interest in veterinary ophthalmology and started a Northland Consultants after retiring from practice in Duluth, MN. He proudly hired the first licensed veterinary technician in Minnesota.
In this interview, Dr. Anderson discusses historic veterinary figures Ben Pomeroy, Bee Hanlon, and Francis Spurrel, while recounting his time at the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine. He also recounts career stories, including his utilizing of veterinary training to teach human nurses intubation, leading to the saving of a young boy’s life.
