Description
This color photograph depicts the former sign in front of the Danish American Center building in Minneapolis. This sign was hand-carved and painted in the winter and spring of 2008/2009. It was designed and painted by Susan Skovbo Loschknohl who also designed the DAC logo.. The sign structure was made by Svend Petersen and both sides were hand-carved by Bent Paulsen.. It was unveiled on Danish Day 2009.
This building started as a home for Danish seniors in 1924 and the building of Danebo was later repurposed as a non-profit cultural organization known as the Danish American Center in 2005.
