Description

The photo depicts a busy day at the Lanesboro Lumber Company's Yard. Teams of horses with their owners and handlers stand stretched across the yard. To the left of the photo is a house. In the background is the large hill and several smaller buildings and houses. On the right side of the photo is a view of the street into town. There are 15 teams of horses pulling wagons filled with lumber and each wagon has at least one driver seated or standing in the wagon. A few men stand in front of the teams and a few children stand behind the wagons leaning on a picket fence surrounding a house. The photo was taken by Matthias Bue of Bue Studio in Lanesboro.
