Description
This painting is a wedding gift that was given to Lars G. Birkeland and Alida Lundervold on their wedding day, Nov. 7, 1894, in Beaver Twp.  Their names, wedding date, little flowers and cirlicues were painted on the back side of a piece of glass which was mounted in a frame with a blue or green background. The text is in Norwegian. The background has since faded, but the paint of red, white, blue and gold is still easily visible. Lars was born in Norway in February 1855.
