Description

Margaret Peacock embroidered this sampler at a young age of 7, finishing April 30, 1829. At the top of the sampler she embroidered the alphabet and numbers that could be fit in the row from the left side to the right side. She did both the capital and lowercase versions of the alphabet. In the middle of the sampler she wrote a prayerful poem. At the bottom of the sampler, several proverbs were embroidered before she signed her name, date and age.
