Description
Artist Margit Mindrum captured the travails of winter traveling in the 1800's and early 1900's with this painting entitled, "Winter Frost Cutter."  She painted this scene in 1963, showing a farmhouse in a group of evergreen trees a short distance away from a red barn.  The background of both buildings and some places in the foreground show numerous trees coated in snow.  Two people drive in a cutter to the location, pulled by a solitary horse.  The painting is housed in a wooden frame painted a cream and light tan color.
