Description
This framed picture, "Cupid Awake" was belonged to Mrs. Ed (Mamie) Reed of Preston, eventually passing it on to her daughter, Elnor J. Andrist. Eventually it returned to Mrs. Reed who then passed it on to the donor's mom, Mrs. Albert (Mamie) Johnson of Preston, around 1931. Eventually Mrs. Johnson moved to Mantorville in 1952, taking this picture with her. It resided in her home and the home of her daughter, Mrs. Howard (Elinor) Johnson, also of Mantorville until 1985. The original owner, Mrs. Ed Reed, spent a year as a training teacher in the Preston Normal School from 1935 to 1936. has varnished frame of wood with glass.

The picture shows a little child with curly hair looking at the photographer with a strung bow behind his or her head. It was copyrighted in 1897 by M. B. Paikinson. It is an oval picture contained in a simple, wooden, rectangular frame.
