Description

This is a photo of Mrs. John C. Mills (Emma Frances Allen), who was born on October 2, 1859.  She and her husband were both instrumental in forming the Fillmore County Historical Society in 1934, gathering artifacts and first-hand accounts.  After their passing, they left their home to be the display area for the historical artifacts until the space was outgrown.  This photo is held in a small, simple wooden frame, painted a muted gold.
