This is the roster of Company E of the 7th Regiment of the Minnesota Volunteers who served in the Civil War. It was printed in 1863. Several of the people by this time were listed as discharged, transferred to another unit, how or when one was wounded, killed, or died, and in one instance, who deserted. More casualties would be accrued later, including Corporal Calvin Hoag in 1864. Regimental field and staff officers, company officers - commissioned and non-commissioned - and privates are all named. Most people have their hometowns included. The poster was made on canvas.
