Description
This is a large painting of a small child sitting on a stool with a whip in the left hand and one arm on the forehead. The child is sitting on a small stool of blue, flowery upholstery and a gold base. The child's garment is trimmed with blue ribbons with one shoulder fallen down to the left arm. In the bottom left corner are the words "Dingman's pet" and someone wrote Grandfather's Eleanor on the child's left arm. The picture belonged to Michael Henry Onstine and hung in the Henrytown Store, which Michael Henry ran. He was one of the earliest pioneers and founders of the Henrytown area and played a large part in the community as a farmer, merchant and postmaster.

The picture is held in an ornate gilt frame painted gold.
