Description

This portrait of George Washington hung for many years in the entry way of the old Chatfield Elementary School so all visitors could see it. On the frame is a plaque which says "Class of 1926" on it, indicating it was given to the elementary school as a gift from the graduates of that class. The portrait itself is not colored but is grayscale and looks to be of canvas and charcoal. It is held in a simple, brown wooden frame.
