Dr. Dick Olson is a veterinarian graduating from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 1960. He became a small animal veterinarian in Minneapolis Minnesota after starting his career in rural veterinary practices near Willmar in Kandiyohi County. He successfully served as president of the Minnesota Veterinary Medical Association in 1991 to 1992 and owned the All Pets Animal Hospital in Columbia Heights Minnesota. In this interview, Dr. Dick Olson is joined by his wife Delores. Dr. Olson shares his personal recollections on starting and then expanding emergency veterinary services to Minneapolis, creation of the Minnesota Veterinary Medical Foundation, a veterinary student job, and two very funny stories about a cat finding its way back home and the next trip the University of Minnesota has to the Rose Bowl.
