Description
In 1954, Mrs. Serena Jeske taught the students at one-room schoolhouse in the Thorson School District 56. On March 1. 1954, the students were photographed seated in their desks in the schoolhouse. Identified by rows, the rows are numbered one to four from the left side of the picture. The student in row one are Virgel Briske, Alice Knutson, Ronald Allen, Carmen Odegarden, and Phyllis Allen, who is standing. In row two are Kent Trulson, John (Chuck) Owens, Joanne Owens, Mary Reub, Kenneth Lacy, Phyllis Borgen, and Mrs. Serena Jeske, who is standing. In row three are Bruce Trulson, Doris Dahl, Bill Knutson, Lavonne Knutson, Sharon Worden, Donna Borgen, Arnold Skrukrud, Keith Lacey and Anna Knutson, who is standing. In row four are Patty Rueb, Linda Kester, Phyllis Owens, Diane Jorgenson, Susan Lacey, Reid Trulson, Ruth Borgen, and Tom Odegarden.
The photo is held secure in a custom mat of pastel green which also holds the identification. It is all in a simple varnished wooden frame.
