Description
During the 1948 to 1949 school year, Susan Fingerson taught the students of the Thorson School District 56. At one point toward the beginning or end of the year, the whole school posed for a portrait in their one room schoolhouse. A small portion of the first desk can be seen on the left side of the photo. The group is standing in front of the bookshelves and the doors on either side of the shelves. A water cooler can be seen on the right side of the photograph. The students in the front row from the left are Orlando Hannenburg, Harold Becker, Jr., Orvis Dahl, Gordon Dahl, and Palmer Borgen. Seated in the second row are Lavonne Knutson, Sidney (Skip) Owens, Howard Warden, Phyllis Danielson, June Borgen, and Gloria Danielson. In the third row are Phyllis Borgen, Eva Borgen, Marylin Danielson, Carmen Odegarden, Alice Knutson, Kenneth Lacey, and Carl Hannenburger. In the back row are Marion Borgen, Arlis Trogstad, Donald Becker, Theodore Hannenburger, Richard Hannenburger, Darlene Danielson, and Teacher Susan Fingerson.

The photo is held secure in a custom mat of pastel green which also holds the identification. It is all in a simple varnished wooden frame.
