Description
In 1901, the teacher and students of the Thorson School District 56 gathered outside for a photograph. At that time, the teacher was Jennie Gordon. Students that year included Leona Brogan, Maggie Brogan, Katherine Brogan, Pearl Julian, Alta Julian, Esther Miller, Christina Olson, Milton Dolan, Tom Kadletz, Adolph Kadletz, David McKeown, Willie McKeown, Archie Nichols, Clarence Miller, Oscar Olson, Gilbert Thorson, and Alice Jacobson. In this photo, only Clarence Miller is identified, besides the teacher, as the boy in the front row with a striped shirt. Alice Jacobson is not in the photo.
The photo is held securely in a custom mat of pastel green which also holds the identification. It is all in a simple varnished wooden frame.
