Description
In 1860, Henry Rose moved to Fillmore County from Ohio, becoming one of the early settlers of Amherst Township. He was the grandfather of H.C. Rose. The painting depicts him in his elder years and is held in a tan mat with a varnished brown wooden frame painted with gold and black accents.
