Description

1. Red silk ribbon with black lettering and decorations. There is a small straight fringe/fraying on top of the ribbon and longer fringe on the bottom of the ribbon. Ribbon reads: "HELLO, BOYS! COMPLIMENTS HOSE CO. No. 3 BEATRICE, NEB. NO.3 B.V. F.D. DELEGATE TO 19th Annual State Convention N.S.V.F.A. Seward, Nebraska January 15, 16, 17, 1901." Width: 1.875 Length: 9.0 inches
2. White silk ribbon with black lettering and decorations. On the center of the ribbon is a cartoon image of a Black man and woman wearing nice outfits (a suit with tails and a dress) walking in a comedic manner toward the left. There is slight straight fringe/fraying on top of ribbon. The bottom of ribbon is cut diagonally from right to left with fringe/fraying. Ribbon reads: "COMPLIMENTS OF HOOK AND LADDER OF BEATRICE, NEBRASKA. 19th Annual Convention OF  N.S.V.F.A. AT SEWARD, NEB. Jan. 15, 16, 17, 1901". Width: 2.25 inches Length: 9.25 inches
3. Red silk ribbon with black lettering and decorations. Ribbon has slight fringe/fraying cut in a triangular shape on top and bottom. Ribbon reads: "Compliments of HOSE CO. No. 1, Seward TO THE DELEGATES N.S.V.F.A. [in a + formation] NORFOLK, 1900. LET US ALL GO TO SEWARD IN 1901." Width: 1.875 inches Length: 9.0 inches
4. Gray/Brown silk ribbon with black lettering and decorations. There is slight straight fringe/fraying on top and bottom of ribbon. Ribbon reads: "COMPLIMENTS OF KILPATRICK HOSE COMPANY BEATRICE, NEBR. TWENTIETH ANNUAL CONVENTION NSVFA [in a + formation] HELD AT NEBRASKA CITY JANUARY 21, 22, 23, 1902." Width: 2.25 inches Length: 8.0 inches
5. White silk ribbon with black lettering and decorations. On the center of the ribbon is a graphic of a farmer holding a hoe riding backwards on the back of a cow. Ribbon has slight straight fringe/fraying on top and bottom. Ribbon reads: "HELLO, BOYS! COMPLIMENTS KILPATRICK HOSE CO. BEATRICE, NEB. [graphic image] We get there all the same! B.V.F.D. DELEGATE TO 19th Annual State Convention, N.S.V.F.A. NEBRASKA CITY, NEB. JANUARY 21, 22, 23, 1902." Width: 2.5 inches Length: 8.75 inches

7. White silk ribbon with blue and lettering and decorations. Ribbon features a sketched portrait of an uniformed man with a mustache and a badge/medal on his coat. Top of ribbon has slight straight fringe/fraying. Bottom of ribbon is cut diagonally from left to right and has fringe/fraying. Ribbon reads: "COMPLIMENTS OF BEATRICE FIRE DEP'T To Delegates of N.S.V.F.A. 20TH ANNUAL CONVENTION Nebraska City, Neb. JAN. 21, 22, 23, 1902. [framed portrait] OFFICERS OF B.F.D. J.H. 8. White silk ribbon with black lettering and decorations. Attached to the ribbon is a paper (?) patch with a cartoon scene with a mustached man in a suit holding of bottle of Krug Champagne on a stick like a pair of opera glasses to watch a theatrical performance on a stage. Ribbon has slight fringe/fraying on the top and bottom. Ribbon reads: "WELL I GUESS! I am a Delegate from the KILPATRICK HOSE CO. Beatrice, Nebr., Attending the N.S.V.F.A. at Crete, Nebr. [cartoon] 'I don't know how it looks to you, boys, as my Opera Glasses are a little moist. If my eyes don't deceive me, it looks to me as if I would stay.'" Width: 2.75 inches Length: 7.75 inches
9. White silk ribbon with black lettering and decorations. Ribbon features a cartoon graphic with a startled man in a bed and a woman peeping in through a doorway. Top of ribbon has slight straight fringe/fraying. Bottom of ribbon is cut diagonally from right to left with slight fringe/fraying. Ribbon reads: "COMPLIMENTS OF DEMPSTER HOSE CO. Beatrice, Nebr. Fireman in Trouble [cartoon graphic] 'I'm Snagged!' 21st Annual Convention OF N.S.V.F.A. CRETE, NEBR. Jan. 20, 21, 22, 1903." Width: 2.0 inches Length: 8.75 inches
10. Red silk ribbon with black lettering and decorations. Ribbon has two cartoon figures in suits with tails and top hats. Top and bottom of ribbon has no fringe/fraying. Ribbon reads: "COMPLIMENTS OF STANTON HOSE CO. NO. 1. AL MARKS, Chief. JOHN HAKL, President. C.E. STUCKER, Delegate. Where is Beatrice? In The Best STATE On Earth. SUCCESS To the 24th Annual Convention OF THE N.S.V.F.A. HELD AT BEATRICE, NEB. Jan. 16, 17, and 18, 1906." Width: 2.25 inches Length: 8.5 inches
11. White silk ribbon with black lettering and decorations. Ribbon has no fringe/fraying on top and short fringe/fraying on the bottom. Ribbon reads: "1906 Member OF Beatrice Fire Dep't. 1906". Width: 1.625 inches Length: 7.5 inches
12. White silk ribbon with black lettering and decorations. On the center of the ribbon is a cartoon graphic of a man wearing a lounge suit laying on a lounge bed with his head on a stripped pillow. He is smoking a cigar and holding an alcoholic drink in a stemmed glass. Next to him is a box of cigars and a bottle. Sitting on the foot of the bed is a woman with her hair in an up-do wearing a chemise and heeled shoes with one hand resting on the base of a wine glass and the other hand resting on her hip. Ribbon has no fringe/fraying on the top or bottom. Ribbon reads: "COMPLIMENTS OF G.H. SMITH AGENT FOR DICK BROS. BEATRICE, : NEB. [cartoon graphic] 'TAKE ONE' 24th Annual Convention OF N.S.V.F.A. 13. White silk ribbon with black lettering and decorations. On the center of the ribbon is a graphic of a winged dragon with a pointed tail. Top and bottom of the ribbon has slight straight fringe/fraying. Ribbon reads: "COMPLIMENTS OF Hose No. 6 BEATRICE, NEB. I AM The New Delegate WHO THE ARE YOU? 24th Annual Convention OF N.S.V.F.A. 14. White silk ribbon with black lettering and decorations. Ribbon has no fringe/fraying on top or bottom. On the center of the ribbon is a graphic of a ladder buggy/carriage fire apparatus with an uniformed firefighter standing in front of the vehicle. Ribbon reads: "TWENTY-FOURTH ANNUAL CONVENTION OF THE N.S.V.F.A. Beatrice, Nebraska Jan. 16, 17, 18, 1906 COMPLIMENTS OF H. & L. CO. NO. 1 OF THE Madison Fire Dept. J. H. MURPHY, Delegate". 15. Red silk ribbon with black lettering and decorations. Center of ribbon features a graphic of a scramble with crossed vintage firefighting equipment including a helmet, a ladder, a carriage lantern, a hose head, a pick-ax, an ax, and poles. Ribbon has no fringe/fraying on top or bottom. Ribbon reads: "MINDEN FIRE DEPARTMENT [graphic] B.F. WYLIE of the 'HOOKS' Beatrice, Nebraska, January, 16-19, 1906."
