Large framed black-and-white photograph of the fire at the Majestic Hotel (621 Hennepin Avenue, Minneapolis, Minnesota) on March 19, 1949 at 11:44 PM.The nighttime photograph shows several fire trucks (both ladder and hose trucks) parked in the street with firefighters operating them in order to put out the fire at the Majestic Hotel. Two ladders are rolled out. One ladder is resting on the Majestic Hotel and the second ladder is resting on a neighboring building. The hose trucks are spraying water at the Majestic Hotel. Ice covers the Majestic Hotel and the neighboring buildings There is white smoke rising above the buildings.
The photograph is in a faux wood plastic frame with glass glaze. The frame is designed to look like a nice wooden frame with decorative moulding.
An engraved brass metal plaque on the bottom of the frame reads: "4-4 Alarm-Majestic Hotel-621 Hennepin Ave.-3/19/49 11:44 PM".
