Description
Large silver-painted cast-iron bell for the Cataract Number 1 Station, dated 1873. 

The bell is painted silver. Painted in black on the front of the bell: "CATARACT No.1 1873". 

The bell is screwed onto a silver-painted frame and is on special wheeled car with a white rope. 

Hanging on the wall above the bell is a copy of a photograph of a fire station with a bell tower on top. The photograph is labeled: "CATARACT ENGINE NO.  - 1873 2ND & BANK STREETS SOUTHEAST".
