Description
Dutch "S-GRAVENHAGE" fire dress uniform hat (A), coat (B), and tie (C). Black color. Polyester (?) and cotton.The individual items in detail:
- A (Hat): Black cotton uniform hat. Bell cap style. Shiny gold metal badge on the front. The badge features a red painted shield with a Roman-style gold firefighter's helmet. The shield rests on top of crossed tools including 2 axes and 2 hose nozzles. There are two small gold metal buttons on the left and right sides that are stamped with an image of a Roman-style firefighter's helmet. The hat has a shiny black plastic visor with faux green leather on the bottom. The interior of the hat has a shiny polyester lining with a faux brown leather headband. Sewn into the hat is a shiny clear plastic sleeve for a small card. Written lightly in a blue ink pen on the clear plastic sleeve: "Veen [?]". - B (Coat): Black uniform dress coat. Single breasted style with a single column of 4 large round golden metal buttons down the front. The buttons are stamped with an image of a Roman-style firefighter's helmet. The coat has four pockets on the front. The top breast pockets have a front pleat and flap with large golden buttons that match those going down the front of the coat. The bottom pockets are plain in style and also have flaps. On the front right breast above the upper pocket is a golden metal badge. The badge features a red painted shield with a Roman-style gold firefighter's helmet. The shield is framed with flames on the left and right sides and rests on top of crossed tools including 2 axes and 2 hose nozzles. The bottom of the shield is engraved: "S-GRAV ENHAGE [A local name for the Hague in the Netherlands]". Both sleeves of the coat have a matching set of 3 golden chevron arrows pointing down. The cuffs of both sleeves have matching sets of 3 small round golden metal buttons that are stamped with an image of a Roman-style firefighter helmet. Width at the Shoulders: about 20 inches.
