In the center of the badge is a ring with silver lettering that reads "WEST AUSTRALIAN FIRE BRIGADE BOARD". In the very center of the badge is a black swan swimming in water. On the back of the badge are two button hooks. Attached to the left hook is a brass metal bobby pin.
