Firefighter helmet from East Sussex in South East England in the United Kingdom. Black-painted plastic (or cork?) helmet. Round shape with wide brim on the bottom, especially on the front and back. There is a rounded Mohawk on the top. On the front there is a partial sticker over cork with the image of a badge with a coat of arms. The badge appears to be a silver starburst with 8 points. In the center is a red shield with a golden crown on top over a wavy white stripe with brown birds under it. 3 birds are present (there is supposed to be 6 total birds). Below the shield is a gold bar with black lettering that reads "EAST [not visible/missing] SUSS[EX]". The bottom of the helmet is green. Written in white paint on the back of the helmet "1165". Stamped on the back of the helmet "SMALL / UP TO 6 7/8 / 1971". The interior of the helmet has a brown leather, brown fabric, and plastic lining mechanism. The helmet has a dark brown leather chin strap with 4 silver metal snap buttons.
