Description

Navy/dark blue dress uniform hat from West Germany. Wool or felt fabric.  Round bell cap style with round pink trim on the top and bottom of the hat. On the front of the hat is a round gold metal button shaped like a bottle cap with a red-painted hole in the center. Below the button is a silver metal badge with a round hard hat over two crossed axes above flames with three wings. Under the badge is a shiny black plastic band that is attached to the hat with two round silver metal buttons on the left and right sides of the hat. The front of the hat has a shiny black plastic visor. The interior of the hat is lined with gray fabric (polyester?). Attached around the hat is a faux gray leather headband with a small string bow in the back. Attached to the top of the interior of the hat a diamond-shaped clear plastic sleeve with a difficult to read gold printed manufacturer mark. A piece of typed paper is taped to the bottom of the visor and reads: "Loschgruppe Kirchbert / W. Germany / Jansen Willi".
