Description

Yellow hard plastic/fiberglass contemporary-styled firefighter helmet for a Fire Management Officer (FMO) from the West Metro District Fire and Rescue. The helmet has a round shape with a slight round Mohawk on the top. There is a wide bottom brim that flares out with a slight duckbill in the back. The bottom edge is lined in black rubber. On the front of the helmet is a reflective badge sticker. The sticker has a blue background with a gold border. White ribbons with red lettering on the top and bottom read "WEST METRO / DISTRICT". On the center of the sticker is a red and white Maltese cross. The red lettering on the top and bottom of the cross reads "FIRE / RESCUE". On the left side of the cross is an image of a red fire hydrant. On the right side of the cross is an image of a crossed ladder and pike. In the red center of the cross is a scramble of firefighting tools including a black traditional American style firefighting helmet over a black snake climbing up a blue pole, a white pike, a white ladder, and a white ax. Attached to the sides of the helmet with black plastic knobs is a clear plastic face shield. On the left and right sides of the helmet are white semi-circular stickers with black lettering that reads "FMO [Fire Management Officer]". Around the helmet and on the duckbill are five horizontal rectangular reflective yellow stickers. Attached on the back of the helmet is a silver metal hanging loop/ring. On the back of the bottom of the helmet is a manufacturer and Danger sticker that reads in part "660C" and "Cairnes HELMETS". The interior of the helmet is lined in grey plastic. On the top of the interior of the helmet is a manufacturer label with information about the helmet including model (STD 660CR YEL), shop order number (64309), order number (64309), sequence count (01 27), color (YEL - Yellow), sizes (ADJ), earflap (L655), chinstrap (C991), eye protection (RCHT), liner, (L26), mod. weight (48 oz), misc. (RCHT), misc. (LYB), customer number (0), and manufacturing date (11/13/[19]97). The manufacturer is Cairnes & Brother. The interior has a black plastic and black polyester strap inner crown system with a thick red and yellow cotton denim fabric neck covering attached to the back. Attached to the sides is a thick dark green cotton chin strap with Velcro, a silver metal claw buckle, and a yellow plastic side release buckle.
