Description
Black hard plastic contemporary-style firefighter helmet from the Woodbury Fire Department in Washington County, Minnesota. The helmet has a round shape with a slight round Mohawk on the top. The bottom has a wide brim that flares out with a short duckbill on the back. The bottom edge is trimmed in black rubber. On the front of the helmet is a badge sticker. The sticker is shaped like a Maltese cross. The background of the sticker is white. The cross is gold with a blue outline and details. Red lettering is printed around the cross that reads "WOODBURY / FIRE / DEPT." The circular center of the cross is framed in a blue and gold rope pattern. In the white center of the cross is a scramble of firefighting tools that are gold and outlined in red including a traditional American style firefighter helmet, a bugle/horn, a ladder, a pike, and an ax. Attached to the sides of the helmet with round silver metal knobs is a clear plastic face shield. Stamped on the top of the face shield "FLAT FLIP" and "PAULSON MFG. CORP." Both the left and right sides of the helmet have large red circle/dot stickers. Around the helmet and on the duckbill are five horizontal rectangular reflective white stickers. Attached to the back of the helmet is a silver metal hanging loop/ring. A manufacturer mark is stamped on the bottom of the back of the helmet that reads "CAIRNS BRO." Scratched in the same area "3085". The interior of the helmet is black with a brown lining and a grey plastic headband. On the top of the interior of the helmet are manufacturer labels/stickers with the shop order number (21044), the manufacturing date (8/3/[19]79), the manufacturer (CAIRNS & BRO. INC), and model (660). The interior of the helmet also has a black plastic, black and grey polyester strap inner crown system. Attached to the sides of the helmet is a thick black cotton chin strap with two silver metal snap buttons and a silver metal claw buckle.
