Yellow hard plastic/fiberglass contemporary style firefighter helmet from the Brainerd Fire Department in Crow Wing County, Minnesota.
Round shape with a slight round Mohawk on the top. Wide bottom brim with a short duckbill on the back. The bottom edge is trimmed in black rubber. On the front of the helmet is a badge sticker. The sticker is Maltese cross shaped and is gold with black outlines and red lettering that reads "BRAINERD FIRE DEPT. MN". The center of the cross is white with a black rope pattern frame. In the center of the cross is a scramble of firefighting tools including a traditional American firefighter helmet, a bugle/horn, a ladder, a pike, and an ax. On the left and right sides of the helmet are black plastic knobs. On both the left and right sides of the helmet are matching stickers. On top is a white semi-circular sticker with black lettering that reads "FIREFIGHTER". Under this sticker are small red letter stickers that read "EMT". Around the helmet and on the duckbill are five horizontal rectangular reflective yellow stickers. There appears to be some missing stickers on the back of the helmet. Attached to the back of the helmet is a silver metal hanging loop/ring. On the bottom of the back of the back of the helmet is a large danger and manufacturer sticker that reads in part "660C" and "CairnsHELMETS". The interior of the helmet is lined in grey plastic. Inside the helmet are manufacturer stickers with information about the helmet including model (660CFSY), shop order number (REP), sequence count (187), earflap (L855X), chinstrap (C922), eye protection (100373315), liner (LK28), mod. weight (45 oz), and manufacture date (09/19/2002). Inside the helmet is a black plastic and black polyester strap inner crown system. Black cotton denim covers the headband. On the back of the inner crown system is a back and yellow cotton denim head/neck cover. Attached to the sides of the helmet is a thick black cotton chin strap with a silver metal claw buckle and a yellow plastic side release buckle.
