Description

Yellow hard plastic/fiberglass contemporary style firefighter helmet from the Columbia Heights Fire Department in Anoka County, Minnesota. 
Round shape with a slight round Mohawk on the top. Wide brim with a short duckbill on the back. The bottom edge is trimmed with black rubber. Bolted to the front of the helmet is a black leather front piece with white lettering and white leather numbers that reads "FIREFIGHTER / 38 / CHFD". Attached to the sides of the helmet with round silver metal steel knobs is a clear plastic face shield. Around the helmet and on the duckbill are five horizontal rectangular reflective white stickers. On the back of the helmet are two pieces of white Velcro. Attached to the back of the helmet is a yellow plastic hanging loop/ring. On the back of the bottom of the helmet is a manufacturer mark that reads "CAIRNS & BRO". In the same area are two black Velcro strips. Written in a permanent mark on the bottom of the front of the helmet "STARK [?]". The interior of the helmet has a grey plastic liner. Attached to the top of the liner are manufacturer stickers with information about the helmet including style (660C), shop order number (003706), order number (024195), customer number (012480), color (YEL - Yellow), size (ADJ), lining (L6), chin strap (C7), shield (S6), and manufacture date (12/21/[19]83. Attached to the liner is a black plastic and black polyester strap inner crown system. Attached to the inside of the helmet is a black cotton and yellow denim head/covering with Velcro. According to white text printed on the headband the size range of the helmet is 6 1/2 to 8 with directions on how to adjust the helmet. Attached to the sides of the helmet is a black polyester chin strap with two silver metal snap buttons and a silver metal claw buckle.
