Description

A metal and silk medal commemorating the Minnesota Fire Dept. Association's 37th Annual Convention. The medal consists of a name badge, two (2) silk ribbons, and a circular pendant. The name badge is in the shape of a horizontal rectangle and has a pin mechanism on the reverse side. A laminated piece of paper is inserted into the name badge and features the text "HONORARY."

A short and a long silk ribbon are attached to the reverse of the name badge. The shorter ribbon is red, white and blue in color. The image of a firefighter's helmet and bugle is printed on the obverse of the ribbon. The circular pendant is attached to the end of the short ribbon by a metal ring and single metal chain link. A black and white photograph of a fireman driving a horse drawn fire apparatus is in the center of the pendant. Circling the image is the text "37th ANNUAL CONVENTION" and "CLOQUET." The manufacturer's name, Keystone Badge Co.," is printed on a piece of paper inserted into the reverse side of the pendant. 

The longer white silk ribbon is behind the pendant. The gold text "MINNESOTA STATE FIREMEN'S ASSOCIATION" and "CLOUUET June 8-9 1909" is printed on the bottom half of the ribbon.
