Description

Silver metal backpack style 5 gallon hand pump can. Fire Pump 150-S manufactured by PARCO Products. 
Round oval shaped silver metal (steel or tin?) tank. On the back of the tank near the top is a brass metal manufacturer plate with product information and operational instructions. The plate reads in part: "FIRE PUMP NO. 150-S MFG. BY PARCO PRODUCTS CO. PENNSBURG, PA. ... 5 GAL HAND FIRE EXTINGUISHER FOR BRUSH FIRES AND SPECIAL USES UNCLASSIFIED NO. 83461 ... SLING TANK ON BACK OPERATE PUMP AND DIRECT STREAM WITH NOZZLE [operational instructions]". Attached to the front of the tank is a thick cotton/denim dark tan strap harness. On the top of the tank on the left side is a brass metal cylinder (the pumping mechanism) that is connected to the thin black rubber hose and brass cone-shaped nozzle. In the center of the top of the tank is a handle bar. On the right side of the top of the tank is a removable lid that is secured with a bar. On the right side of the tank is the hand pump, which is a round metal bar with a black handle/hand grip. The base of the tank is hollow and covers the tank (which rests on the wearer's upper back).
