Description
A trussed single ladder made of wood and located on the second bracket of the 1919 American LaFrance Fire Truck (2001.01.001.1-2). There are twenty-eight (28) round wooden rungs between the two (2) trussed wooden beams. Each rung is 1.5 inches high and 13 inches apart. A metal strip runs across every fourth rung. The ends of the beams are covered with black painted metal, which include two (2) short, prong-like extensions. All wooden components of the ladder are stained and have a varnish finish.
