Description
Sickle - in sections, cast iron frame, steel knives; Probably patent 3037342.
One section of a sickle blade. It was invented by Marin Bowyer of Lowry. This sectional sickle could be repaired in the field if needed and was an improvement over the old long blade which put the machine out of service if it was damaged.
The blade is 12" long with 3" teeth, held by a cast iron support.
