Description

A wooden extension ladder that is secured to the right side bracket on the truck bed of the M.F.D. Pumper Truck (2001.02.001). Both the base and fly section of the ladder are painted red and have eight (8) round rungs that are thirteen (13) inches apart. The rungs on the bed section are attached via metal screws to the outward facing sides of the rails. Two (2) large metal hooks are attached to the tip ends of the fly section's right and left rails. The hooks are painted black and twelve (12) inches long and eight (8) inches wide. Both points are facing inwards. A pair of black painted metal sheets are attached to the butt ends of the bed sections, forming the shoe/foot of the ladder. The white number "16" is painted one of the rails of the bed section, near the bottom of the ladder.
