Description
"This doll, from the Apache tribe in Arizona, is 13 inches high and is wearing a navy blue wool, one piece blanket type dress, trimmed with a beaded belt and white sea shells. These Indians have traded with sea shells for generations. The stuffed cotton doll has beaded features on her face, two long black braids, and is wearing blue beads around her neck and beaded, white buckskin moccasins. I (Cleora Helbing) got this doll on March 27, 1946 from Nancy Armstrong, a schoolgirl."
