Master-Light Carpenter MFG. Co. Brand Silver Steel Metal Electric Hand Lantern
A Master-Light Carpenter MFG. Co. brand silver steel metal electric hand lantern. The lantern has a rounded horizontal squared rectangular shape. On the front of the lantern is a large round circular electric light with a thick black rubber outer rim, a round protective glass lens, a round shiny silver reflector, and a large glass light bulb. Around the bottom of the black rubber rim is a manufacturer mark that reads "MASTERS-LIGHT-MAKERS / PATENTS AND RIGHTS". Above the light is a small and round silver steel metal power switch. To the left of the power switch is a round oval-shaped dark red/brown colored silver metal manufacturer plate with printed silver lettering that reads "PATS 1170012 - 1239835 - 1544191 - 1592178 / 2025064 - 2122008 / OTHERS PENDING / MASTER-LIGHT / CARPENTER MFG. CO. / BOSTON, 45, MASS. U.S.A." Attached over the top of the lantern is a thick round silver steel metal handle. On both the left and right sides of the lantern are silver steel metal latches to secure the removable lid. On the back of the lantern is a rounded rectangular clip (?) to secure a strap. Inside the lantern are the electrical wires and the battery compartment (battery has been removed). The bottom of the lid has a black cushioning material around it to cushion it against the top of the lantern.
