Laerdal Medical Corp. Made Portable Suction Unit.
The Laerdal Suction Unit consists of a blue plastic carrying case (a), inside of which is a plastic power pack (b), a clear plastic collection canister (c), a suction pump (d), a small plastic bottle (e), as well as a plastic connecting tube (f) and patient tube (g).

a) The blue plastic carrying case has a hinged lid secured by two (2) metal clasps. A clear, removable piece of plastic takes up the center of the lid. Printed at the bottom of the clear plastic is the white lettering "Laerdal Suction Unit." A white plastic sticker is adhered to the top of the case, below the handle, and features the black text "M.F.D."

b) The long, gray plastic power box is secured to the interior of the carrying case by two (2) gray velcro straps. A silver metal panel is bolted to the top of the box and features black lettering and graphics. In the center of the panel is a large turn dial that is set against a blue strip. Above the dial is a square green light with the text "Light Indicates/CHARGING/CURRENT SUPPLY" on the right. Meanwhile, below the dial is a small green button and a square white light that is accompanied by the text "Light Indicates/OPERATION/VOLTAGE SUPPLY." Printed at the bottom of the panel is the manufacturer's name and address. A power source inlet is on the right side of the box.

c) The collection canister is a large, clear plastic, cylindrical container with a round screw-on lid. One side of the container is flat and features a yellow volumetric scale in millimeters. Two (2) short tube attachments are on the underside of the lid, next to the flat surface of the container. Also, a yellow strip is around the border of the lid. This canister is intended for one-use only. A gray velcro strap connects the canister to the case.

d) The suction pump is a device that consists of a clear plastic cylindrical pump connected to a silver-metal electric box. A white plastic barrier is between the metal box and plastic pump. Meanwhile, an oval red sticker is adhered to one side of the electric box and features the white text "EMI/RFI Shielded." The suction pump is attached to the case by a gray velcro strip, which is wrapped around the electric box. 

e) The small bottle is a clear plastic and has a square base. A white plastic screw-on cap is at the top. The bottle is filled with a clear liquid (most likely water).

f) The small connecting tube runs from the suction pump to the collection canister. 

g) The sterile patient tube is long in size and very light yellow in color. A small clear plastic nozzle is at one end of the tube, while the other is connected to the collection canister.
